Trivia / Silent Auction Night

On July 31st the Parents & Friends committee ran a Trivia & Silent Auction evening. We had over 130 people attend the event, including 3 tables of VCE students. We had many generous donations of support from local businesses and families. Overall we raised just over $5000 which is a fantastic effort. Thanks to all those who came along and supported us.

Election Day BBQ

On Saturday, August 21st the Parents & Friends of Ashwood College ran a fundraising BBQ. Despite patches of rain we managed to stay dry under the cover of the newly refurbished canteen area at the school. We had a fantastic team of enthusiastic parents, students and staff who came along to help cook sausages and sell raffle tickets.
Thanks to Judy & Rod Westmore, Sarah & Rob Farley, Sharon & Courtney Perez, Jenny Tidswell, Robyn Jansen, Jane Dalton, Alison Holmes, Louisa Pugliese, Kim Paleg, Dale Wain, Kerrie Croft, Simon Lindenmayer, Tania Peterson, Anna Maree & Peter Ranten, Natalie Gulbis, Skye Groves, Chrissie Miller.
We raised over $1700 from the BBQ and raffle and we received $300 for a silent auction for a chance to go to the "Inner Sanctum" at the Collingwood vs Hawthorn game this weekend. So $2000 is a great effort and who knows if we can't decide on a government we might be doing it all again very soon!!!

Thanks everyone who bought a sausage or a raffle. The winner of the raffle was a local neighbour Beverley Shilling, congratulations

Ashwood Community Network

Can you lend a hand? If you can volunteer to assist the school in some way then we would love to hear from you!
We understand that some people may find it hard to help out within school hours so there may be some jobs that can be done at home. There are others who may find it easier to come into school during school hours to help.

If you are able to offer some of your time to assisting the school community then please contact Dale Wain on 9807 1333 or email wain.dale.l@edumail.vic.gov.au

Alternatively, check the Ashwood Newsletter for the Parents & Friends corner to find out how you can help within the school.

A big thanks to those families that already volunteer their time in many aspects of school life such as, Canteen, Working Bees, Parents & Friends, Tutoring, School Council, and many other areas.
